 Job Title:  Head of Sales, Product and Channels

Reports To:   Chief Executive Officer

Purpose of the Job:
    To manage sales growth of the company’s products and services in Tanzania .
    Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management of sales personnel.
    Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.
    Provide Strategic management by identifying business growth opportunities (new markets, new products and new services) and deliver those through the design of the most cost effective delivery channel appropriate to the respective segment.
    Promote and drive innovation across the company.
    To develop appropriate marketing strategies and objectives for marketing and selling the organization’s products and services

Key Accountabilities:
    Collaborates with CEO in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company.
    Ensure Sales targets for the country are achieved
    Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.
    Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all products.
    Review and assessment of sales results of the company and sales staff’s productivity.
    Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
    Formulates all sales policies, practices and procedures.
    Collaborates with CEO to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
    Interprets short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.
    Identify new representation opportunities and thereby ensure a proper cost effective distribution channel across the company
    Develop Customer Service Improvement strategies
    Oversees development of policies, procedures and objectives for marketing and selling the organization’s products and services.
    Oversees product/service development, pricing, marketing budgets, and sales objectives.
    Steering the delivery of all the channel-based (electronic, branch and agents) products to the Company’s customers, including offering the required maintenance support to customers in orderto meet or exceed planned revenue or volume targets;
    Driving and monitoring the sale of the various products to current and prospective customers;
    Identifying and translating viable and profitable market opportunities;
    Leading, motivating, and developing the sales and marketing team to ensure that business objectives are achieved;
    Establishing and implementing appropriate models, procedures and processes for guiding the department’s activities and from time to time reviewing and modifying these to fit in with the Company’s risk management processes;
    Driving engagements and partnerships with stakeholders and segment heads;
    Identifying opportunities for cross selling and referral to other Company sales lines through developing and maintaining a broad understanding of customer needs;
    Manage and drive innovation process that identifies strategies, business and process opportunities across the company.

    Knowledge and Experience Required of Job Holder:
    University Graduate from a recognized and well established University with a degree in Marketing, Sales, Commerce or equivalent
    Knowledge of banking channels, marketing conditions, the Tanzanian market and banking trends;
    A postgraduate holder of Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Finance or other business related.

Strong Sales and Customer oriented and visionary leadership ability;

Minimum of 10 years’ experience, with at least 4 years in a senior management role in relationship management/ banking, operations, product development or sales;


Job Title: Product Manager-Bancassurance

Reports To: Head of Sales,Product and Channels

Purpose of the Job:
Banc Assurance Manager is responsible for formulating sound and appropriate policies and procedures that will stimulate banc assurance business to ensure service efficiency and cost effective. The person shall be responsible for developing and managing insurance products to existing customers and to the general public through the company branch networks. Also she/he is accountable for supporting Banc Assurance team, business management and the overall performance of the insurance products in line to the agreed target.

Key Accountabilities:
    Managing Bancassurance unit as separate profit Unit of the company. Managing Bancassurance unit expenses and ensure it is within budget.
    Managing Agency contracts and negotiating commission from each principal insurance company
    Provide leadership to the insurance team for both life and non-life products and ensure all claims are managed as per agreed TAT.
    Play a key role to ensure that all claims are well received, screened and decision made with agreed TAT
    Provide the main link between the bank, Insurance companies and Insurance agency to customers.
    To systematically plan to insurance agency business to all branches in line with the annual plans.
    To ensure that insurance UNIT operations is complying with the Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA)
    Opening and maintaining collection account of each Principal
    Push sales of insurance products in order to attain targeted commission budget
    Recruiting new insurance clients and maintain existing to meet the desired market share.
    Managing and supporting sales activities in the branches.
    Initiate, plan, organise and follow up on direct marketing activities individually.
    Ensuring that customers are serviced with high standards and ethics
    Selling banks core products (accounts, loans, and forex) to all non-banked insurance clients
    Ensuring that all products sold are in compliancy with BOT Banc-asurance guideline and TIRA
    To maintain sound and active relationship with Bancasurance regulators and keep updated with any industry changes
    To produce daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly Bancasurance Sales reports to management
    To prepare Monthly and quarterly regulatory reports (TIRA and BOT).
    Prepare and conduct regular training to staff on insurance products and how to sale Insurance products
    To develop sound succession plan for the Bancasurance unit
    To identify Knowledge Gap on Insurance products and develop training program which will cover the Gap

Knowledge and Experience Required of Job Holder:
    Degree in Insurance and Risk management or equivalent insurance experience with COP certificate. Master degree in the insurance and risk discipline would be an added advantage.
    A minimum of 4 years’ working experience in insurance industry.
    A comprehensive knowledge of Tanzanian Insurance business.
    Conversant with insurance product offerings in the wider financial services industry
    Effective communications skills, organizational skills, and ability to respond to requests effectively and efficiently.
    Understanding of BOT and TIRA guidelines on Bancasurance
    In-depth knowledge of current computer system functions, input procedures, codes, report capabilities and configuration.
    Ability to plan and conduct training sessions to staff members on insurance products and sales
    Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions with multiple concrete and abstract variables.


Job Title:  IT manager

Reports To: Head of operations

Purpose of the Job:
Responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines.

Supervising the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing needs.

Key Accountabilities:
    Managing information technology and computer systems
    Controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations
    Managing IT staff
    Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
    Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
    Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
    Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
    Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
    Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
    Audit systems and assess their outcomes
    Preserve assets, information security and control structures
    Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

Thinking Requirements and Working Complexity:
    Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience
    Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
    Expertise in data centre management and data governance
    Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
    Ability to manage personnels

Knowledge and Experience Required of Job Holder:
    The successful candidate will have improved skills, a proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of industry’s best practice processes.

Job Title: Relationship Officer-Private Payroll

Reports To: Private Payroll Manager

Purpose of the Job:
The relationship officer shall execute day-to-day sales activities of the unit by ensuring that all sales strategies, plans and goals attained. The person is responsible for performance of Deduction at Source business for private employers to ensure the business is growing, meet required market share, portfolio quality and overall management in line with company strategy.

Key Accountabilities:
    Achieve growth and attain sales targets by successfully managing employer relationship for DAS-private
    Implementing strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in the market
    Ensure business performance in line with agreed weekly, monthly and Annual target and monitoring of employer relationship.
    Managing on boarding process for both employer and employees in line with company policy.
    Managing business relationship that includes, TAT, portfolio performance and quality of loan
    Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
    Monitoring of sales, revenue and expenses in line with forecasted budget.
    Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
    Coordinating with marketing team on lead generation

Job Title:   Bancassurance Officer

Reports To:   Product Manager-Bancassurance

Purpose of the Job:
Bancassurance Officer is responsible for implementing sound and appropriate policies and procedures that will stimulate banc assurance business through service efficiency and cost effective. The person shall be responsible for managing insurance products to existing customers and to the general public through the company branch networks. Also she/he is responsible for banc assurance business generation and the overall performance of the insurance products in line to the agreed target.

Key Accountabilities:
    Implementing Banc assurance strategies to ensure agreed target/budget are attained.
    To ensure adherence of Agency contracts and negotiating commission from each principal insurance company
    Managing both life and non-life products and ensure all claims are attended as per agreed TAT.

    Provide the main link between the bank, Insurance companies and Insurance agency to customers.
