Augrabies Falls National Park is a South Africa Home of Wildlife located around the Augrabies Falls, It is about about 120 km west of Upington in the Northern Cape Province. This National Park was established in 1966.

Based on The South African Statistics, This Park covers an area of 820 km² and stretches along the Orange River. The height of water waterfall is about 60 metres high and is more attractive when the river is in flood. The gorge below the falls averages about 240 m deep and runs for 18 kilometres.

Augrabies Falls National Park Animals

Scientist find that, There are numerous species on the area of 28 000 hectares. Popular Game such as Springbok, Gemsbok and the endangered Black Rhino can be found here. There is a rare animals such as the Cape Clawless Otter who can be found in this National Park, There are also the Black Backed Jackal, Caracal, the Bat eared Fox and the African Wild Cat.

When you are in this Area, You can also find Water Monitor, Africa’s largest lizard, Also The Doublebanded Sandgrouse is available here, alongside the more commonly spotted Namaqua Sandgrouse,  They are found in freshwater systems, lagoons, and the sea so long as fresh drinking water is available. Their short, dense fur varies in colour from light to dark brown.

This Protea Hotel Upington is situated in on the banks of the Orange River in Upington. Your staff were wonderful. The man working the desk at 10pm on the 22nd of September was incredibly helpful. Rooms were tidy and clean, really happy with our stay and the comfort. Breakfast was amazing.

This Hotel Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, The Oasis is situated in Upington on the banks of the Orange River. The room was clean n comftable and breakfast was awesome

River City Inn
Located Just 10 minutes’ drive from Upington Airport, River City offers air-conditioned rooms with a satellite TV. It provides a 24-hour front desk. Most of the Staff members manner of treating me with kindness and respect even though I am younger then them.

Kalahari Lion’s Rest
This Lodge Located in Upington in the Northern Cape region and Kalahari Mall reachable within 5 km, Kalahari Lion’s Rest provides accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and free private parking.

They offers a terrace. Everything about the place was amazing, Crystal went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful stay… Thanks to her and her husband for top class service.

Daberas Guest Farm
This Guest House Situated in Augrabies, Daberas Guest Farm offers self-catering accommodation in the in the Augrabies area. This eco-friendly lodge is reliant on solar power and a water desalination system.

Each unit at Daberas is air-conditioned with a low-energy water cooling system. They all have a private en suite bathroom and a private entrance leading from the thatched veranda. Hannecke and Kobus are fantastic hosts and kind people. The room/house where we stayed (Cape Ebony) was so beautiful. It contains anything you need for a very comfortable stay.

They are Offering a garden, Plato Lodge is located in Augrabies region. Free WiFi is provided .

The accommodation features a seating area. Free private parking is also available at this lodge. Towels and bed linen are featured. Professional friendly and engaging owners.

Quiver Tree Restaurant
Th Restaurant is a typical SANParks restaurant, despite being privately run now. The food is adequate and the service is slow. There is no alternative place to eat at Augrabies, so this restaurant has the monopoly.
