Bidvest Bank Limited is an entrepreneurial bank that was born to change the way people and businesses view financial solutions.
We differentiate ourselves from our competitors in the way in which we service and look after our customers.
As both a South African bank and a subsidiary of The BidvestGroup Limited, The Bank is a dynamic business that seeks opportunities and market gaps that ‘traditional’ banking often neglects or ignores.
Bidvest Bank abide by legislation without ever letting processes, resources or systems restrict us from satisfying our customers.
Moody’s Investor Services has acknowledged our efforts to diversify our income, and in June 2017, upgraded BidvestBank to Aa2.za/P-1.za with a negative outlook.
This makes us the highest-rated among South Africa’s second-tier banks.

Bidvest Bank Fixed Deposit Account
Starting at a minimum deposit of R10,000, select an investment term from two to twelve months with no monthly account fees.
The longer the investment term, the higher the interest rate. Interest can be paid out monthly or at the end of the term to a nominated account.
There is also the option to reinvest the interest for another fixed term. Pensioners over 55 qualify for preferential rates on the 12-month fixed deposit.
Starting at a minimum deposit of R1000, have the freedom to deposit and withdraw at any time from an account that has no fixed period and no monthly account fees.
There is the option to capitalize the interest and compound it or to have it paid out monthly to a nominated account. The higher the balance in the account, the higher our competitive interest rate.
Bidvest Bank Notice Account
Starting at a minimum deposit of R5000, select an investment period of 41,61,91,121 days, 6, 9 or 12 months.
The longer the period, the higher the interest rate. Pay no monthly fees and make additional deposits at your discretion. Make withdrawals by giving notice.
Foreign Currency Account
The Foreign Currency Account is the simplest way to invest directly in foreign currencies from a local account.
This includes currencies such as US Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, and Australian Dollars. The minimum investment is R10 000 up to the R1 million Single Discretionary Allowance or R10 million Foreign Investment Allowance or per calendar year.
We can also assist with the necessary tax clearance for an additional fee. The Foreign Currency Account is available to South Africans living in South Africa or living temporarily abroad and also to non-residents.
